This will take Place on Friday 7th November 2025 at 7 PM. Details will be put on the clubs Facebook page.
If you are a club member and do not already have access to our facebook page,
please ask to join the page and it will be approved.
Winter fly fishing on the Lower Loch Gryffe
Members of the Port Glasgow Angling Club, can now fly fish for Rainbow Trout and if your lucky,
Tiger trout, on a catch and release basic only, with barbless hooks from 7th October 2025 until 15th Fabruary 2026.
There will also be two winter fly fishing competitions.
The first will be held on Saturday 15th November 2025- from 10:00 until 14:30
The second will be held on Saturday 31st January 2026- from 10:00 until 14:30

Workparty
A work party will take place on the Gryffe this Sunday 12th October 10 am until 12noon
Competitions Update
The re-scheduled Fly Only will now take place on Saturday 4th October 2025
Venue-Gryffe, Time 9:00 am until 4:00pm
Inverclyde Trophy
This will take place on Saturday 28th September and will be held on the Higher Gryffe

Memberships for the 2025 season is now closed as the club membership is now full.

Memberships Season 2025
Please note that membership renewal information for the 2025 season will be sent out late January, early February
This will have the necessary club bank details to enable members to pay by bank transfer.
Please inform the treasurer if ANY of your details have changed, IE Postal address, telephone number and please include your current email address as this will be the main way the club will contact you.
AGM
The clubs Annual General Meeting will take place on Monday 24th November 2025
in the Boglestone Activity Centre, Port Glasgow at 19:00.

Meeting place :- Gryffe Car Park.
A book will be provided for members to register and committee members will be on hand to organise what is required.

2025 SANACC Competitions

Club Book at GAC
Glasgow Angling Centre continues to offer members the opportunity to earn financial reward for the club. Members can request any purchase they make to be added to the ‘Club Book’. Ten percent of the value of your purchase will be added to the club account.
So all you have to do when at the checkout is ask the sales assistant to put your purchase in the ‘Club Book’. At the end of the season the club can collect the sum raised by member’s contributions, this money is then used towards prizes for junior members and raffle prizes at the Annual Prize Giving.
Senior Members Days
The Bothie will be open fortnightly from 11am-2pm to accommodate our new Senior Members Day.
This get together is for members to fish and exchange stories of the one that got away. Tea and coffee will be provided, bring your own lunch!
Rule Reminder
Size limits on the Gryffe and Harelaw have been raised to 11 inches. Secondly the Knocknair has been designated a catch and release water, so all Trout caught must be safely returned to the water.
